When it comes to others wellbeing I’ve come to understand at the core of what I do is helping realise their own path to wellness. It’s been this way for a large part of my life and I am committed to sharing this with every person I have the honour of sharing massage, reflexology and reiki with. Your dreams of health and vitality can effortlessly come from your ability to invest in your wellbeing, and to your connection to your wisdom.

Your Well-Being and you feeling nurtured and cared for is my vision for you in every interaction we have.

I genuinely like to heal, help and inspire so people feel in charge of their own wellbeing, by experiencing deep relaxation and treatment aligned with their needs. This brings an opportunity for better understanding of the balance you can achieve in life and a recognition of the benefits of self care.

When asked to define my purpose I was able to summarise what’s sitting as deep foundations within my work and within me personally. It is to inspire people to practice self care, in a safe environment, to feel vulnerability and learn to draw strength from the vulnerability and wellbeing experience.

I grew up in the Perth hills before moving to country Western Australia for different periods of my life, including stints in Karratha for 6 years and Manjimup for 8 years. I’ve been in Bunbury for the past couple of years and love the community and opportunity to meet and work with such fascinating people locally.

Massage, A Way To Truly Care

Following a personal retreat experience in the late 1990’s where I was offered massage and wellbeing treatments I became aware of a personal desire that is still strong in me now. At that time I thought how I would love to be able to make someone feel as treasured as I felt then.

In 2008 I completed my Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice. This has been followed by a Diploma of Reflexology in 2011, and Reiki Level I and II. In 2013 I started on the path to become qualified as a specialist Oncology Massage Therapist and have since gained the Oncology Massage Level I and II qualifications. At present I’m one of a handful of Massage Therapists qualified to this level in Western Australia.

This interest in Oncology Massage also led me to co-found The Rose Centre in Manjimup, which provided complimentary therapies such as Bowen Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Massage Therapy and more to people with a life threatening and life debilitating illness. Our clients included people experiencing symptoms of cancer, Parkinson’s disease, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis. I held the role of President for a year at the centre. I believe Oncology Massage is a very special calling. It goes beyond the technical skill of providing massage to clients with diverse health conditions, not limited to cancer. It takes someone with the maturity and compassion to truly support people on every level. This is something I hold sacred and I feel honoured to be able to provide this service.

 Friends, Family and Laughter

When I think about the things I love most, everything fits into three very important areas. Friends, family and laughter. When you have these around you, everything means the world is right. There is much glitter and everything magic at play.

I love to travel and explore the world, to indulge in the richness it provides my life and therefore the lives of others and to be able to bring that richness home with me, to share with those I love and those I treat.

I am Mum to two amazing young adults, daughter Beth, son Joseph and I feel intense pride being able to be a part of their lives and to see their spirits shine as they venture out into the world.

When I’m not giving to my clients, giving back to community, or giving to myself I’m giving to my passion of creativity and currently honing my artistic skills, learning to paint with acrylics and mixed media with more proficiency. Creating brings me incredible joy, as does learning and sharing what I’ve learned.

I openly give of my time, my love, my skill. It comes naturally and compulsively, but I have learned you can’t give from an empty cup so therefore I make it a personal priority in my calendar to look after myself as much as I look after my clients – as simple as it may sound, I desire to practice what I preach so I can be the best I can be when I treat you at Moondance Wellbeing.
